The river Danshui in Taipei – a place of retreat. Well, when I say retreat, I mean somewhere where the noise of the traffic is a bit further removed and there is some sense of space. Not a lot of it, though. But I liked to hang out there, especially in the evening. This picture actually unfinished, but I thought it looked kind of nice. Yes, there is actually a barely visible line of ground under the fishermen, they’re not floating insubstantially in the air. And no, I don’t know whether anyone should eat anything that survived in this water…
This may not be the most imaginative picture ever, but it’s what I had, and I have a very specific reason to want to post a flower today. The reason being: I’ve passed 200 followers. Yes, there’s over 200 of you out there, wanting to see what I come up with. Thank you! This peony is for all of you – and I promise I’m catching up and will be going back to posting the more “me” kind of drawings very very soon, so stay tuned!
